Getting married in Barcelona has become somewhat a tradition in Dave’s family. With one of his two brothers living here, and the other having celebrated his wedding here a few years earlier, it was a natural choice. The groom is originally from Ireland but lives in Minneapolis, where he met beautiful bride Megan. With their families being on either side of the Atlantic, they had rarely had a chance to bring everyone together, which is why they decided on a truly intimate wedding, with just 30 of their nearest and dearest in attendance.
Their venue, a luxury villa in the middle of a natural park surrounded by nothing but nature and breathtaking views, was the perfect spot to quite literally get away from it all and enjoy each other’s company.

The elegantly simple decor theme perfectly reflected the ambience of this intimate wedding. A spring palette of neutrals and pale pinks were mixed in with highlights of blue in the wedding party’s attire. The delicious food brought further splashes of colour. Catering Sensacions did an excellent job of designing a 100% gluten free menu, on the bride’s request, which even the most carb loving of guests thoroughly enjoyed.
As you can imagine, being such an intimate wedding celebration, emotions ran high, and there were plenty of tears and laughter as anecdotes and memories were shared during the day. And for a small group, they sure knew how to party, dancing under the stars until the wee hours.
