From the first time we chatted to Julia and Roman via Skype from their cozy Berlin apartment, we knew we were going to create the most amazing wedding celebration together. Their priorities were clear, and we got straight to work organising visits to the venues with the most wow factor in the Barcelona area, from rooftop terraces for their welcome cocktails, to castles and stately homes for the wedding day itself, and cool beach locations for the recovery lunch. The couple shared our passion for the details in each event, and both put a lot of thought into the locations and team they chose to make their vision come to life. Visually, classic elegance was the order of the day, both for décor and in the wedding party attire. Blue tones throughout and highlights of pale peach in the florals beautifully setting off the regal surroundings. There were personalised touches aplenty during the whole celebration, from the pastor who travelled from the couple’s home parish in Germany to officiate their wedding in Castell de Sant Marçal, to the tables named after cities that played a part in the couple’s love story.
Guests from all over the world embraced both German and Russian traditions that were incorporated into the day. The bottle of vodka and shot glasses on each table for spontaneous toasts was a Russian custom which was warmly embraced by all! And wow did this group know how to party. Even by Spanish standards a truly epic fiesta.
A recovery lunch beachside the next day was the finishing touch to the most perfect wedding weekend. It was such a pleasure to get to know this couple from their first visit trip and throughout the whole planning process, a huge thanks to Julia and Roman.
